Search and Rescue Vessel (SAR) equipped with MTU 2000/4000 series engines.

sar-2We are glad to announce that Search & Rescue Vessel SAR 3000 "Sztorm" ("Storm") has successfully completed her sea trials and has been delivered to the final customer.

 

"Sztorm" is a sister vessel for "Pasat" & "Orkan" vessels previously constructed for Polish Maritime Search & Rescue Service in Gdynia.

These three vessels replace old Polish SAR fleet and are one of the most advanced and modern vessels of this type currently operating in Europe.

 

Ships are powered by twin MTU 2000 series engines and an additional MTU 4000 series booster. Stern engine room is equipped with two, twin MTU Series 16V2000 M72 engines, each producing 1040kW output, allowing the cruising speed on the level of 15 knots, while the bow engine room is equipped with an additional booster engine MTU 12V4000M90 with power rating at 2040 kW increasing speed in excess of 24 knots.
